I heard on the radio today that just a few days after millions of people lost power, people are already complaining because the power company doesn't have all their power on. These complaints are not at all a surprise to me. Humans, at least Americans, are a bunch of idiots out of touch with reality. I guess they think the power company has piles of equipment and employees sitting around, just to be used occasionally. If the company were equipped to get so much damage repaired within a few days, these same people would be screaming about high power bills. Reminds me of the idiots who asked why the managers didn't call more people to work at a restaurant when there was a unusual rush. Although the restaurant situation is even more dumb because by the time more employees could be called in, the rush would have been over, even assuming we had people sitting around waiting for an occasional job of a few hours.
This is the reality of climate change. It is what you blithely imagined you could bequeath your children and grandchildren to deal with. This is what most people deserve. They have been unwilling to undertake some inconvenience for the sake of protecting future. They have voted for people who tell them comforting lies. Life is not a TV show or movie.
I've read that people in more technologically primitive societies have no doubt that climate change is happening, because they have to live with the consequences in their every day lives. We are insulated from reality, but that is really not an excuse, because we have been told, and most people have voluntarily chosen to ignore and reject the truth. To me, that is really evil.
