NPR

Nov. 18, 2016

A few minutes ago, the local NPR station WABE referred to the wildfires, and the exceptional drought. No mention that global warming is causing an increase in droughts and wildfires.

And this morning, they interviewed someone about whether an increase in the minimum wage increases unemployment. He has done a comparison of states that increased the minimum wage with adjacent states that did not, and found that there was NOT an increase in unemployment. He gave a few possible reasons why, but did not include the fact that when lower income people are paid more, they can afford to spend more, leading to an increase in jobs. I don't know if the man they interviewed did not mention this because of his own ideological leanings, or if he did mention it, but it was cut by NPR, to maintain their corporate donations.
