Hypocrisy about student debt

I realized recently the hypocrisy of people of the older generations criticizing young people for getting student debt, when the oldsters got us huge national debt that the youngsters will have to pay for. Especially since the oldsters benefited from higher tax support from their oldsters, so their college tuition was less.
