Does anybody really believe the writers of the constitution intended that if a president did something, after he had lost the election, like foment a rebellion, too close to the end of his term that it was too late to hold an impeachment before his term expired, that nothing could be done to hold him responsible? If it is discovered after a police person or a prosecutor quits or retires that they did wrong, that does that mean they shouldn't be prosecuted? If Trump had personally killed a police person at the capital, would it really be too late to hold him responsible? I do not at all believe that if a Democratic president had acted the way Trump did, that the republicans would be saying he could not be kept from holding office in the future, at least. Their claims to care about law and order and honor are shown to be hollow words.

Osama Bin Laden did not fly planes into any U.S. buildings.
He just asked & inspired people to do it, drew money & resources to the effort, set the timing & launched the execution from afar.
In what way was Donald Trump’s role in 1/6 ANY DIFFERENT?

People on twitter also pointed out that Charles Manson didn't personally kill anybody, but he is spending life in prison for his role in indoctrinating his followers to do so.
