By Jason Samenow

The record warm weather in the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast continues to destroy century old records by unthinkable margins. Let’s take a tour of some of the latest unfathomable records...

Chicago: Hit 85 degrees as of 4 p.m. (CT) setting a new record high for not just the date, but for the month, topping the monthly record of 82 set Friday and Saturday. It is the 7th straight day of record highs there - second most in a row in any season of the year (since 1871). ...

Milwaukee: Set an all-time March high of 83 today, its earliest 80+ day on record. ...

Traverse City: Set an all-time March high of 83 Monday (source: Climate Central) only to be broken today when it has climbed to 85.

Pellston, MI: Rose to 80 the last 4 days - the first 80 F days in March in its history. The high of 82 Monday broke the previous record (56, 1976) by an incredible 26 degrees. (Source: Jeff Masters) Today, it has reached at least 83, setting another new March record.

Minneapolis: Has set record highs in 8 of the last 10 days.
