On "Bob Edwards Weekend" on NPR earlier today, he had an interview with Doyle McManus, Washington based columnist for the Los Angeles Times who talked about politics and the upcoming 2012 presidential race. He talked about presidential races starting with Reagan's defeat of Jimmy Carter, the factors that affected how voters voted. In discussing 2000, he claimed Bush had won because voters just like to change the parties in control every so often. There was no hint at all of the fact that Gore actually won the popular vote, and probably won the electoral vote. No mention of the supreme court being the deciders. No mention of Ralph Nader, although he did mention Ross Perot's run in the 1992 election.
On a positive note, Edwards did have segment on:
"The Last Mountain is a new documentary featuring Robert Kennedy, Jr. and other community activists who are dedicated to stopping big coal from the destructive practice known as mountain top removal coal mining. Bob talks to Kennedy and the filmmakers, Clara Bingham and Bill Haney, about the continued health and environmental challenges of mining coal."
