Hurricane Patricia: How to help

I suggest making donations without earmarking them for a specific disaster, such as hurricane Patricia, because often organizations get more than they need for a heavily publicized disaster, and not enough for lesser known ones, or those that come shortly afterwards.

See the following link for links to the various organization.

Hurricane Patricia roared into Mexico Friday as the strongest storm ever recorded in the Western Hemisphere and the recovery may take weeks, if not months. Charitable organizations are already mobilizing in the storm zone with relief services.

You can help Mexico recover by supporting those providing assistance:

Americares

Catholic Relief Services

Child Fund

Convoy of Hope

Direct Relief

International Medical Corps

Map International

Mexican Red Cross

Operation Blessing

OxFam

PCI

Salvation Army

Save The Children

UNICEF

Worldvision
