Inflation vs jobs

The Republicans are saying they want to reduce unemployment.

But Ryan is saying that the Federal Reserve should raise interest rates to prevent inflation from increasing, although there is not indication that high inflation is a threat.

The way the Federal Reserve fights inflation is by raising interest rates. The way this causes lower inflation is by increasing unemployment. This results in less demand for goods and services, and this is what reduces inflation.

So either Ryan is ignorant of basic economic facts, and is thus not suited to be vice-president, or he wants to hinder economic progress in order to help his team win in November, in which case he is evil, warped, and depraved and even less suited to be vice-president of our country.
