NPR doing again
May 11, 2014
I'm listening right now to On the Media, on NPR radio, with another program this week about the press whining about not having enough access to President Obama. People who have been playing attention don't blame the president, because ever since he took office, or even before, the press has slanted against him, misrepresenting him, including NPR. (Nothing new, really, just a continuation of the way they have kow-towed to the power elite.) Eg., currently when they report on the latest Republican attempt to "investigate" the supposed IRS targeting of conservative organizations to make sure they were not claiming tax-exempt status to which they were not entitled. Totally absent is the fact that the IRS also targeted certain progressive groups. At the beginning of the controversy, this was also totally ignored for some time, until the slant was firmly established in people's minds. The finally reported the full story a few times, so they could claim they had not been unfair. Then they went back to telling the one-sided version of the Repulicans. The power elite that dominates the news media, including NPR, knows that once most people have an opinion, it is very hard to change, even with mountains of evidence to the contrary.
I could give numerous other examples.
