On NPR this eveing, they reported that 2012 was the warmest year for the U.S. but "only" the 10th warmest year for the globe. Nothing at all about the fact that it was the warmest year with a La Nina for the globe. Years with a La Nina are usually cooler than average.
At least NPR no longer has a total blackout on any mention of global warming, like they did for several years until their fossil fuel corporate contributors finally admitted global warming is a problem. But they are still giving it short shrift.
