The Bush administration cut WAY back on food safety enforcement. And the Republicans in Congress are more interested in protecting the welfare of billionaires than that of ordinary Americans. Look for this to happen more often.
The Republican's domestic spending cuts will guarantee more of the same. We need MORE food inspectors (and funding) not less!

A Sacramento, Calif., resident has died after eating ground turkey that appears to be tied to an outbreak of salmonella food poisoning that has sickened at least 76 other people in 26 states, health officials confirmed Tuesday.
