Women Writers Conference in Atlanta Oct 21-22 - Getting in Touch with the Source

Keynote speaker is Pearl Cleage, a fiction writer, playwright, poet, essayist, and journalist.

Save the dates: Friday, October 21 and Saturday October 22 for a one-of-a-kind writing conference at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta (UUCA). Meet, learn and participate in workshops led by celebrated authors and poets. Also enjoy a Yoga and meditation session designed to fuel your creative energy, and an opportunity to perform for an audience. You will also have the chance to have a personal meeting with a professional editor to discuss your work. Lastly, submit your work to be published in the Getting in Touch with the Source anthology.

Thanks, rjs. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has been reporting on this, I don't know about this particular detail. A sad situation all around. My church sponsors Hope Elementary School, doing tutoring and enrichment, and I noticed in a list of the schools where problems were found, Hope was not on the list. The principal is committed to helping the students learn. I volunteered there a couple of years.
