Can't decide if the republican speakers are more disgusting or hilarious. Anybody who believe this silliness reminds me of the people, usually elderly, that I do taxes for as a Tax-Aide volunteer. Looking at their stock statements, it looks strongly that their financial advisor is churning their stocks, doing pages and pages of stock buys and sells, ending up with big fees for the broker, substantial losses for the client. When we try to talk to them about it, they never think it, because the broker is so "nice" and calls them up and asks how they're doing. Also reminds me of the abused spouse who repeatedly takes back their spouse, because he claims he is sorry and won't do it again.
