Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been mercilessly slandered and smeared with more attacks in one year than most politicians experience in a lifetime. They say It comes with the territory. Clinton has been an attorney, an American First Lady, a New York Senator (twice), a U.S. Secretary of State, a 2008 Presidential Candidate, and she is back running for POTUS again in 2016.

Over the last few months, the Democratic primaries have turned ugly. Clinton has been called a Wall Street “$hill” and a Democratic “whore,”—and that is not settling well with many voters, especially women.

Although Senator Sanders and his supporters have accused Clinton of being “bought,” Sanders himself has reportedly taken donations/money from Clinton’s Democratic Political Action Committee (HILLPAC) to help win his seat in the U.S. Senate.

But even with the many assaults, Hillary Clinton doesn’t flinch. Her resistance to the most burning attacks is astounding and many believe it will help her beat the likes of Donald Drumpt Trump and Mr. Haney. It will also help make her an even more remarkable president.

Although Senator Sanders and his supporters have accused Clinton of being “bought,” Sanders himself has reportedly taken donations/money from Clinton’s Democratic Political Action Committee (HILLPAC) to help win his seat in the U.S. Senate.

WASHINGTON (AP) — New York Sen. Hillary Clinton shared her wealth in March, doling out $190,000 in contributions to Democrats in Iowa, New Hampshire and elsewhere, according to a campaign report filed late Thursday.

Clinton's political action committee, HILLPAC, raised $272,477 and spent $327,484 in March, according to the group's filing to the Federal Election Commission.

The senator spread the money far and wide, particularly on fellow Democrats running for Senate and on state party organizations.

Two congressmen trying to make it to the Senate also got boosts from Clinton. Rep. Bernie Sanders, who is running for the seat held by retiring Vermont lawmaker Jim Jeffords, received $10,000, as did Harold Ford Jr., of Tennessee, who is campaigning for the seat being vacated by Majority Leader Bill Frist.

The Daily Kos diarist known as, Not This Time, posted about this story early Monday morning and comments it’s about how:

“raising money for down ballot candidates has been part of Hillary's philosophy for years.”

In a CNN piece earlier this year, Eric Brander reports that Sanders also received money from the DSCC whose contributors include Wall Street’s very own Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley.

“In 2006, when Sanders ran for the Senate, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee pumped $37,300 into his race and included him in fundraising efforts for the party's Senate candidates.

___
The party also spent $60,000 on ads for Sanders, and contributed $100,000 to the Vermont Democratic Party -- which was behind Sanders even as he ran as an independent.
___
Among the DSCC's top contributors that year: Goldman Sachs at $685,000, Citigroup at $326,000, Morgan Stanley at $260,000 and JPMorgan Chase & Co. at $207,000.
During that 2006 campaign, Sanders attended a fundraiser at the Cambridge, Massachusetts home of Abby Rockefeller -- a member of the same family whose wealth he had one proposed confiscating.

It wasn’t a crime for Bernie Sanders then, and it’s not a crime for Hillary Clinton now. But the double standard here is astounding. Yes, Citizens United has opened up a new Pandora’s Box. We all hate it, including both candidates, and both have worked to overturn it. For Sanders and his campaign to relentlessly attack Clinton, for something he himself has done, is called hypocrisy. And it would behoove him to walk it back.
