Don't go into deby for Christmas

Reading that many people go into debt to buy Christmas presents makes me sad. When my siblings and I were grown, our family agreed to stop buying Christmas and birthday presents for the adults in the family. If we didn't already have something we wanted, it was because we couldn't afford it, and others in the family wouldn't be able to afford it anyway. And we didn't want our homes cluttered with a bunch of stuff that people gave us because they felt obligated to do so.
